Have you tried the Bloc Loc rulers? I use them in almost every quilt I make and just love them.  For this quilt, I used the  1 1/2" x 3" Flying Geese ruler, and the Bloc Loc 2 1/2" Half Square Triangle ruler.  The rulers are NOT required, just recommended, because they make trimming so easy!
